High School State Bowling Finals were held at Sleeping Giant Lanes in Helena on March 25^th.   Three person teams were made up of high school students from Anaconda, Billings, Butte, Great Falls, Hardin, Helena and Missoula.  A total of 14 boy’s teams and 7 girl’s teams. 

 

Defending State Champions, Butte Lady Bulldogs, Denea Reopelle, Kayla Medina and Amanda Mulcahy once again came out on top after two rounds of competition against 6 other teams.  After the 1^st round, Great Falls High Lady Bison were seated in first but in round two the Lady Bulldogs edged out the Lady Bison with total team point wins of 186 over the Bison’s 175.5 wins. 

 

Amanda Mulcahy was awarded the Girl’s Singles Champion gold medal with her four-game series of 806.  Silver Medalist was Lady Bison Marynda Martinich with a 752 series and team mate Joleen Martinich took the Bronze with a 747 series.

Mulcahy’s series consisted of games 206, 194, 199, 207.

 

Other awards given to Butte High Students in the Boys Division were Highest finishing series for Seniors; Eddie Zimpel took the Silver Medal with a 816 series.  Highest finishing series for Juniors; Colton Haeffner also won a Silver Medal with a 755 series.  For the Freshman Division, Denton Martinich received a Silver Medal for his 664 series,

 

For the Girl’s Division of highest finishing Seniors;  Butte High’s Denea Reopelle received a Bronze medal for her 586 series.  For highest Finishing Sophomores,  Amanda Mulcahy won the Gold with 816.   For highest finishing Freshman, Mikala Schumacher received the Silver with a series of 563.
